The L.A. County Fair honors and celebrates our heroes this Saturday and Sunday by inviting all active and retired military, reserves, police, firefighters and paramedics plus a guest to enjoy the Fair for only $1. All $1 admission proceeds will be donated to USA Cares, an organization that provides financial and advocacy assistance to post-9/11 active duty U.S. military service personnel, veterans and their families.

The Fair’s “Weekend for Heroes” will include a Heroes-themed parade and concerts from OneRepublic on Saturday night, and Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy on Sunday. Also on Sunday, the L.A. County Fair is honored to host the Los Angeles extension of the national Tunnel to Towers 5k run that honors the heroic lives of 343 firefighters and all who perished on 9/11. One of more than 55 runs nationwide, proceeds from the Los Angeles Tunnel to Towers run will benefit USA Cares, Siller Foundation and Blue Star Moms.

After the race, guests can take to a different track and enjoy Horse Racing in our Grandstands, free with Fair admission. Other Fair favorites include FairView Farms, where Angelenos can learn how to milk a cow or goat, and Our Body: Live Healthy, which takes guests under the skin to learn about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

The perfect destination for family and friends, the Fair has countless ways to save with an assortment of promotions every day through Oct. 2! This Friday and every Friday during the Fair, anyone can bring five cans of Ralphs private label non perishable food for Ralphs Food Drive Fridays from noon-6 p.m. and get in FREE that day. All canned goods will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, which mobilizes resources to fight hunger in the community. Additionally, this weekend only, early birds can enjoy $2 admission when they arrive before 11 a.m. with all proceeds benefiting the Red Cross. Read More
